JPR Roofing & Construction Ltd are a family run company based near canterbury kent, with 30 + years of experience in the roofing & construction sectors, and have worked for many farmers and customers alike in and throughout Kent and East & West Sussex and afar.
We can remove corrugated and profiled roofing sheets containing Chrysotile asbestos otherwise known as white asbestos, by using modern day protective safety PPE and safety equipment.
Asbestos, (Chrysotile), can be found in most roofing sheets that are found on Farm buildings.
The Asbestos content material, can be harmful If drilled, disturbed or damaged, and it should only be inspected or removed by trained persons that have the knowledge and experience to expose the materials.
We as a company employ trained and experienced staff to remove asbestos sheeting, and we can remove and dispose of it in a safe manner, and without to much disruption to your business.
Once the asbestos (Chrysotile) has been identified, we would set up and protect the area of the building containing the (Chrysotile), by using heras security fencing, and attach signs to the fence displaying the fact that (Chrysotile) asbestos is being removed.
We would then wear the correct PPE for carrying out the removal works.
Before we disturb the asbestos sheeting, we would firstly mix a solution of PVA glue and water, and we would then access the roof, and spray the whole roof containing the asbestos sheets, making sure obtain a good coverage.
We would only access the roof once the safety control measures are in place, such as, by using the correct means of scaffolding with a triple hand rail, and with edge protection installed to the base of the scaffolding.
We would the install safety fall arrest netting to the underside of the building in the case of anyone falling through the roof.
We always, where we can, like to allow the PVA and water solution to dry out for a period of time, as this allows the solution to stick to the asbestos sheets, and hold the materials together better, as it is always best to try and remove the asbestos sheets as whole as is possible.
We would also change our PPE after the spraying of the PVA and water solution, as the PVA will be very sticky.
The asbestos sheets are then carefully placed in a licensed, hazardous waste bin that would be covered over, and collected when the asbestos works are complete.
We are very experienced in the removal of any Chrysotile, asbestos sheeting works, and we do adhere to all required Health and Safety regulations placed upon the asbestos removal and disposal services.
We often find that untrained operatives do try and carry out the asbestos and removal works themselves, but rarely succeed, to which we get called in and have to deal with broken or smashed asbestos sheets, which makes the job that much harder, but more importantly, more dangerous to others.
We only use trained and experienced employed staff, and we have all the correct equipment to carry out, and to complete the works to very high standard.
Our asbestos removal and disposal services are available throughout Kent, east Sussex, west Sussex Surrey, Hailsham, Brighton Pulborough and afar.
Please call on 01233 659129 or Complete the form on this page, and we will get in touch with you as quickly as we are able.

Over-sheeting is a form of roofing construction, which is in plain terms, a roof fitted over your existing roof!
Over-sheeting is a good way of protecting your existing roof, whether you have a leaking roof or you wish to insulate your existing roof.
This method of new roof can be cost effective if you have an existing Asbestos roof and you do not want to disturb it, or bare the cost of removing it.
With over-sheeting, we would install new galvanized mini-zed purlins, through your existing roof, we would fix through the new mini-zeds, and into the main rafters or beams of your existing roof structure, to get the best possible fix.
We would then insulate between the new galvanized mini-zed purlins with quilt insulation materials, and secure in place with stick fixings.
The process would then be to raise the new Plastisol coated metal box profile roof sheets to the roof, and to fix the new metal sheets to the new galvanized mini-zed purlins.
The new roof would then be secured with extra fixings fixed into the laps of the new Plastisol coated roof sheets, and we would then install Bespoke trim flashings to all required areas of the new roof, including the ridge, and verges and the gutter ends of the new sheeting, so as to enclose the ends of the new roof sheets.
We would then install a new gutter system of your choice to the roof, as required.
Here at JPR Ltd we have the experience and knowledge to help when disasters happen, such as fire or floods, to which we know from experience how devastating those times can be.
We pride ourselves on having the knowledge to know how to move forward in such circumstances and we always try to get you back up and running as soon as the situation allows us to.
We would firstly look to separate the damaged items and to dispose of them in the correct waste containers, and to clear all the large and bulky items from the site.
Once we have cleared the site, we would look at the damage, if any, has been caused to any buildings.
After the damage has been assessed, we would prepare to get the building repaired, (if possible), and to get the building up and running and in good working order, so you can install new equipment and start producing again.
When it comes to building repairs, whether it be to an Agricultural or Industrial building, we can take care of any issues that may arise.
We have over the many years, came up against probably every possible source of damage, or basic wear and tear problems, such as, roof & gutter leaks, valley gutter leaks, roof light replacements, impact damage, (usually caused by fork lifts & delivery lorries etc), storm damage causing issues with roofs, or falling trees, roller shutter door problems, the list is endless, but we are capable of over coming any repair issues, quickly and efficiently, so as not to cause your business any more down time than necessary.
We do repair all types of building on a weekly basis, so whether it be a pre-cast concrete framed building, a steel framed building, or a brick or block building, we can take care of your repairs quickly.
We work with many different trades that we trust within the building industry, and we can offer a complete start to finish package for all your repair or building requirements, so you are only having to deal with us as the Project management company, we can take the hassle out of having to deal with many different trades, and having to pre-time the different stages of works etc.
We offer a wide range of general building repair or conversion services, to all buildings, such as, old farm buildings, curved roof dutch barns, old grain store silos, demolition works, lean-to or timber framed buildings, and to commercial and residential buildings, extensions and cosmetic works etc.
When it comes to Agricultural or industrial buildings, to mention just a few, gutters are probably one of the most important components of a building, and unfortunately, we all seem to forget about “gutters”, and I suppose the old saying, "If its not broke, don’t fix it" comes into the conversation more often than not.
The most common of gutter leaks arise from old Atcost or Tyler pre-cast concrete frame building, which have pre-cast concrete sectional gutters fitted to them and the sectional gutter components do actually form part of the over-all structure of the building.
The sections of concrete gutter are the same width of a bay of building, and the sections of gutter are manufactured so they sit mid-way, on top of the pre-cast concrete stanchions, (so 2 x no. ends of the sections of gutter will sit on top of one stanchion), apart from the end sections of gutter.
Once the building was built, the joins of the sections of gutter, would have probably been sealed with a hot bitumen type liquid, which would have been fine for a period of time, but would have cracked during the settlement of the concrete framed building.
So now the joins in the sections of gutter are failing, and rain water will drip down through the gutter joins, and down the concrete stanchions, and onto the internal floor of the building.
There is in my opinion, one solution to the leaking problem, and that is a bespoke gutter lining system, which is a full length, one piece, seamless plygene gutter liner, which is manufactured to fit to within your gutter, regardless of the length, width or profile of your gutter.
The design and fitment of the gutter liner would be be dependant on our input with the measuring of your gutter, for the bespoke liner.
The gutter liner is not bonded to your existing gutter, so it would be able to move thermally, which makes it resistant to shrinking or cracking etc, unlike liquid compounds available, and it is UV resistant, being manufactured from a strong flexible pvc material.
The plygene gutter liner is a one part, fully sealed solution to a failing, corroded gutter, and once fitted correctly, with its bespoke outlet thimbles, and profiled gutter end fixing points, the plygene gutter liner system becomes a gutter, within a gutter, and would only require the basic of maintenance and cleaning of debris from the gutter.
